This doll was given in 1994 to Nara Prefecture by the state of Idaho as an expression of gratitude for the restoration of Miss Nara, the Japanese Friendship Doll sent to America in 1927. The Nez Perce are a Native American people who lived in Idaho, northeastern Oregon, and southeastern Washington. |
