Chronological History of "Blue-eyed" Dolls

 

1926 - Plans proceed for Friendship Dolls of Japanese-American goodwill.

1927 - Arrival of "Dolls" in February. 
1927 - "Torei Ningyo" (Dolls of Gratitude) are sent to America in November.

1931 - Manchurian Incident in September. Japanese army begins military actions.

1943 - The Allied Forces, led by the US, counterattack everywhere. In Japan, English and American musical jazz is prohibited.  The English language is banned. Newspapers contain articles that the "Blue-eyed Dolls" should be considered as enemies.
