Taihei Elementary School - 1927 Photo

@

The United States and Japan exchanged dolls in 1927 for the purpose of friendship. A Blue-eyed Doll also came to Taihei Elementary School.

Hung up above the stage are the words, "We all welcome you." Now only the photo remains.

The girls appear in Japanese-style pleated skirts. There are also children who are wearing tabi socks.  Many of the boys are dressed in Western clothes.
