Blue-eyed Doll
In
1927 about 12,000 Blue-eyed Dolls arrived in Yokohama Harbor to promote Japanese-American friendship. Emily, one of these dolls, was delivered to Nishitakisawa Elementary School.
As everyone knows, during the war many dolls were destroyed and burned. However, Emily was protected by someone at the school at that time, and now she is in the principal's office. In about 1974, she was discovered in the closet of one of the rooms at the school. |
