Northridge Elementary School in Wapakoneta, Ohio, has developed a close relationship with Saigo Elementary School in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture. Northridge has sent four dolls to Saigo, and Hope Taft, First Lady of Ohio, visited Saigo Elementary School in the year 2000 to present the students with a Native American doll from the children of Northridge. This is the fourth doll that Northridge Elementary has given to Saigo Elementary. The students of Saigo also have sent dolls to the students at Northridge.
