Introduction to the Blue-eyed Dolls Karen and Mary Jane

The Blue-eyed Doll "Mary Jane" was sent by the American Dr. Gulick in 1927. During the war, people at other schools stabbed, burned with fire, and threw into the sea the dolls that had been received from America. However, the people at Tobe Elementary School kept their Blue-eyed Doll with great care. Therefore, Mary Jane is at Tobe Elementary. After the war ended, the Blue-eyed Doll "Karen" was sent by Mr. Gulick, 3d, the grandson of Dr. Gulick. To show our thanks we sent "Misao" to him from Tobe Elementary.
