This picture postcard was issued in conjunction with a three-day exhibition (February 5-7, 1927) of the doll messengers of friendship recently arrived from the United States. This exhibition took place at six large Tokyo department stores:

  • Takashimaya (Kyobashi)

  • Matsuya (Ginza)

  • Matsuzakaya (Ueno)

  • Matsuzakaya (Ginza)

  • Mitsukoshi (Surugacho)

  • Shirokiya (Nihonbashi)

The back side of the postcard includes the lyrics of the "Doll Song."
